Marco Salazar – Senior Back End Developer

Marco is a software developer that has had the opportunity to work on various technologies and projects but has focused on Microsoft technologies for the last seven years. He enjoys the day-to-day challenges that make him think in new ways as well as the technologies that help him solve these challenges. He also enjoys running, going to the movies, traveling, cooking, watching sports, and spending time with family and friends

Where’s your hometown? –  I was born and raised in San Jose, Costa Rica.

What’s your spirit animal?  – I love dogs, especially golden retrievers.

Favorite place you’ve traveled to?  – If I had to pick, it would be Prague.

How many years have you worked in your field?  – 10+ years.

Best advice you have received personally or professionally? – Never settle!

If you could perform on stage with one famous musician/group, who would it be and why? – Foo fighters, as they’re my favorite rock band. Sometimes they call a person out of the audience to perform with them!

How do you spend your free time?  –  When I’m not running/biking/swimming/Pilates, I love to go to the movies, travel anywhere, cook, or just stay at home watching Netflix.

What is your guilty pleasure TV show? – Breaking Bad!

Best childhood memory? – Summer vacations, long days at the park, and being at a friend’s house playing soccer.
