Michael Rojas Pereira — Senior Software Engineer
Mike is a Senior Software Engineer here at Gorilla Logic. He has been working in Development for over 8 years. When Mike isn’t working he loves to spend time with his family and his pets! His hobbies include playing video games, working out, and getting out in nature as much as possible.
Where’s your hometown? – I am from Paraíso, Cartago. It’s pretty close to Lankester Garden in Costa Rica so growing up I always had the perfect place to relax there!
How many years have you worked in your field? – I’ve worked as a Software Engineer for a little more than 8 years.
Best advice you have received personally or professionally? – Treat people well when you’re on your way up, because you never know who you’ll run into when you are going down.
How do you spend your free time? – Mostly with family, my pets, playing video games, going to the gym, and visiting places surrounded by nature.
If you could travel back in time to any period in history, when would it be? – To the Jurassic period if I could travel safely though. I’ve always loved dinosaurs.
Where do you go to relax and recharge? – Any place where I can enjoy nature, national parks, beaches, etc.
What made you want to work at Gorilla Logic? – I first knew about Gorilla Logic because of the meet-ups they organized! After, I attended a meet-up I liked the fact that Gorilla Logic is a place full of knowledgeable people and that there was an opportunity for me to learn and challenge myself.
What qualities make someone successful in the tech world? – Being self-taught and motivated to continuously improve
