Marlon Jimenez Chaves — Senior Software Engineer
Marlon is a Senior Software Engineer here at Gorilla Logic. He has been working in Development for over 21 years. When Marlon heard about Gorilla Logic he couldn’t stop thinking about it, so he pledged to himself if he got the opportunity to work here he would take it! Marlon has had the opportunity to work at Gorilla Logic for the past 3 years.
Where’s your hometown? – I am from Alajuela, Costa Rica.
How many years have you worked in your field? – I have been working in development for over 20 years.
If you could perform on stage with one famous musician/group, who would it be and why? – Pink Floyd, all those guys are awesome! But the dream would be to share the stage with Gilmour, he is one of the best ever.
Best advice you have received personally or professionally? – Believe in yourself.
Best childhood memory? – Christmas. The way an innocent child enjoys Christmas is just the perfect joy.
What made you want to work at Gorilla Logic? – Well, I think the name had something to do. The first time I heard about Gorilla Logic was because a friend of mine worked here and I found the name interesting and I couldn’t get it out of my head, so every time I heard about Gorilla Logic I started to pay more and more attention. Then, I learned about how Gorilla gets their work done, the importance of excellence, and the value they give to their Band of Gorillas, so my conclusion was: If I had the chance to work there, my answer had to be yes!
What is your personal motto? – “I believe”
Who are the biggest cheerleaders in your life? – My wife, my daughter, and my son.
What qualities make someone successful in the tech world? – There are many qualities needed to reach the tech world, but in my opinion, you need Passion to succeed.
