Marcos Sandoval Calvo — Mobile Practice Lead

Marcos is one of our incredible Mobile Practice Leads here at Gorilla Logic. He has been working in Development for just over 8 years. Early in his career, Marcos discovered that his love of people also fed a passion for designing and developing applications for mobile users. Marcos honed his skills as a developer of web, hybrid, and native mobile applications for a variety of companies, and as a leader of developer teams. Outside of work, Marcos spends much of his time with family and friends and making new friends on his journeys around the world. We are so happy to have him as a part of the Band!

Marcos Sandoval Calvo

Where’s your hometown? I am originally from Cartago, Costa Rica.

What’s your spirit animal? I would have to say a Lion

Favorite place you’ve traveled to? Japan, it was so incredible! I definitely want to go back one day.

How many years have you worked in your field? I have been working in development for more than 8 years now!

Best advice you have received personally or professionally? Enjoy every moment as if it were your last. Don’t allow fear to control your life, take risks and live.

If you could perform on stage with one famous musician/group, who would it be and why? Queen, Freddie Mercury in particular, his songs, craziness, and his stage presence was unbelievable.

How do you spend your free time? I really enjoy working out, traveling, and spending as much time as I can with friends and family.

If you could travel back in time to any period in history, when would it be? I would go back to the ’80s. I love the music, the style, and everything during that period was awesome.

Best childhood memory? I spent my childhood outside just playing with my friends.

Where do you go to relax and recharge? For me, the best way to get out of the daily noise is to go to the beach or mountains to clear my head.
