Luis Fernando Jimenez — Senior Backend Consultant
Luis is one of our amazing Senior Backend Consultants here at Gorilla Logic. He has been working in development for just over 14 years now. Luis enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife and children unwinding outside hiking or at the beach. We are so happy to have him as a part of our Band!
Where is your hometown? I am living in Santo Domingo, Heredia in Costa Rica.
What’s your spirit animal? I would have to say a wolf.
Favorite place you’ve traveled to? Definitely, Colorado because of the mountains, incredible snowboarding, hiking trails, and beautiful National parks.
How many years have you worked in your field? I have been working in my field for almost 14 years!
Best advice you have received personally or professionally? It’s all about people, make people know they worth it and they will do everything.
How do you spend your free time? Being my wife and kids, going hiking, to the park, or to the beach.
Best childhood memory? Going to the Schaw’s Soccer cup in Minnesota.
Where do you go to relax and recharge? I love to recharge at the beach, there are plenty of them here is Costa Rica.
What made you want to work at Gorilla Logic? The technologies and the talented people Gorilla Logic has, also because of the overall culture here it is all about the gorillas and supporting their success.
What is your personal motto? Don’t ever say you can’t do it, just keep trying.
Who are the biggest cheerleaders in your life? My wife and my parents.
Best advice when heading into an interview? Interview the person who is interviewing you, this way you can know about how the company is and the kind of people is working there, and always be yourself.

What motivated you to pursue working in your current field? What we do is honestly magic, we have the capability to create unique ideas for clients that may have started off as a passing thought in our heads.
What qualities make someone successful in the tech world? Passion for what you do.
