Lucia Carpio Solano – UI/UX Developer
Where’s your hometown? – Cartago, Costa Rica.
What’s your spirit animal? – A Mermaid.
How many years have you worked in your field? – I started to work in graphic arts around 16 years ago and I started in UX around 5 years ago.
How do you spend your free time? – I like to sew, bake or make accessories. Sometimes I go to the movies or a rock concert. I recently discover bungee aerial dance, but I’m still learning how to not crash my nose on the floor XD
What is your most used tool in your office? – Post-it notes and Wacom.
What motivated you to pursue working in your current field? – I was tired of print materials and Ads. Ever since I started working I wanted to design websites and similar stuff, but back then brands didn’t invest much money into that kind stuff.
What qualities make someone successful in the tech world? – Perseverance, self-taught, keeping up.
Best childhood memory? – Building stuff with my grandpa or baking with my great-grandma.
