Greivin is one of Gorilla Logic’s senior software engineers with over 12 years experience in programming. He is skilled in several technologies, including Android, Golang, and Python. In his spare time, he likes learning, watching movies or creating something.
Where’s your hometown? – Alajuela, Costa Rica
What’s your spirit animal? – I don’t know. I usually empathize with the monkey and that’s my Chinese zodiac animal sign.
Favorite place you’ve traveled to? – Probably rain forests in Costa Rica.
Best advice you have received personally or professionally? – Probably: “When you learn from your failure it becomes a success”
If you could perform on stage with one famous musician/group, who would it be and why? – Iron Maiden… because it’s Iron Maiden!
If you could travel back in time to any period in history, when would it be? – I would prefer to go to the future, but if I have to go to the past, probably the Renaissance period.
What is your guilty pleasure TV show? – Unsealed Alien Files by Bellum Entertainment Group 🙂
Best childhood memory? – Afternoon soccer
What made you want to work at Gorilla Logic? – I was looking for a change

Best advice when heading into an interview? – Be prepared and be yourself. Don’t lie.
Best advice when meeting with a client? – Listen carefully and enjoy (try not to be grumpy even if you feel bad)
Now that you have greater insight on the world, what would you go back and tell your 18-year-old self? – Believe in yourself!
What motivated you to pursue working in your current field? – I started programming at 12 years old. Previously to that, I was obsessed with a movie called “War Games“.
What qualities make someone successful in the tech world? – You must be a self-taught person because today’s state-of-the-art is tomorrow’s obsolete technology. Have a healthy logical/mathematical intelligence (good at Puzzles and Numbers) and be detail oriented. Be creative, sometimes the answer doesn’t exist, you have to create it.
