With more than 9 years experience in technology, Dennis is one of Gorilla Logic’s hardworking Senior Quality Assurance Engineers. When he’s not busy testing software and solving problems, he is playing with his kids, watching a tv series or an MMA fight.
Where’s your hometown? – Hatillo, San Jose, Costa Rica.
Favorite place you’ve traveled to? – Guanacaste, Costa Rica because of the beaches.
How many years have you worked in your field? – 9 years.
Best advice you have received personally or professionally? – Be patient.
If you could travel back in time to any period in history, when would it be? – To the early 1900’s and (hopefully) meet Nikola Tesla.
Best childhood memory? – Christmas
What made you want to work at Gorilla Logic? – I heard many good things from friends, the flexible schedule, and the work environment.
Who are the biggest cheerleaders in your life? – My children.
What was one of the most rewarding leadership positions you have had? – In my previous job, I was able to work across the entire company (all the teams and products) and not just on a particular project.
Best advice when meeting with a client? – Always listen first, take notes, think objectively, and then talk and make suggestions.
What motivated you to pursue working in your current field? – Having a desktop computer at home at the age of 13.
What qualities make someone successful in the tech world? – Soft skills in general, in my opinion, are what make someone truly successful.
