Robert Pangilinan – Area Engineering Manager
Robert Pangilinan, Rob to his friends, is a seasoned Business Systems Analyst, Product Manager, and Scrum practitioner by profession. He has experience working under different industries such as e-commerce, consumer/business banking, general insurance, and telecommunications. He loves listening to grunge and alternative rock and says he sings like Chris Cornell.
What’s your spirit animal? – A grizzly bear.
Favorite place you’ve traveled to? – Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte, Philippines.
How many years have you worked in your field? – Thirteen.
Best advice you have received personally or professionally? – If life gives you lemons, then tequila it is.
How do you spend your free time? – By reading graphic novels and watching movies and TV shows.
If you could travel back in time to any period in history, when would it be? – I’d travel to 1999 to help out Jeff Bezos with his small company called Amazon.
What is your guilty pleasure TV show? – The Sopranos.
What made you want to work at Gorilla Logic? – The company’s embrace of Agile.
What is your personal motto? – Do your ordinary duties extraordinarily well.
What is your most used tool in your office? – My brain.
Best advice when heading into an interview? – Just be yourself.

What motivated you to pursue working in your current field? – To be able to solve problems…correctly.
What qualities make someone successful in the tech world? – Hard work, dedication, an excellent grasp of logic, and being organized.
