Mario Lopez Sr. Backend Engineer
Mario Lopez Campos is one of Gorilla Logic’s talented Sr. Backend Engineers. He has been working on designing and development enterprise applications since 2011. When he is not programming or learning new languages and tools, Mario enjoys swimming, Karate, video games and traveling.
How many years have you worked in your field? – Almost 7 years.
Best advice you have received personally or professionally? – Be a “turtle-chicken.” Don’t hide your eggs (achievements) but also don’t cackle for everything.
Now that you have greater insight on the world (maybe;)), what would you go back and tell your 18 year old self? – Don’t be shy, keep working hard. Respect and love your family.
Something that your LinkedIn profile couldn’t tell us? – I’m a brown belt in Karate and was a Karate referee some years ago.
How do you spend your free time? – 9gag, Youtube, Facebook, video games and exercise.
What motivated you to pursue working in your current field? – I played a lot of video games in my childhood and I wanted to learn how they work and how they are made.
What qualities make someone successful in the tech world? – Self-learning. Good soft skills and teamwork.
If you could travel back in time to any period in history, when would it be? – Probably the Jurassic period, because I like dinosaurs a lot!
