QA Engineer Mirna Viquez
Mirna Viquez is one of Gorilla Logic’s talented Nearshore QA Engineers in Costa Rica. She has been a manual tester for almost 3 years. Mirna has experience with backend and frontend testing, most commonly testing API’s, web services, Windows Services, Web UI’s, etc. During her free time, Mirna likes to play with her dogs, sing, listen to music, play video games, and watch soccer games.
Where’s your hometown? – La Guacima in Alajuela, Costa Rica.
How many years have you worked in your field? – About 3 years as a QA and tester.
If you could perform on stage with one famous musician/group, who would it be and why? – Christina Aguilera, she is my favorite singer.
What is your guilty pleasure TV show? – Dance Moms.
Where do you go to relax and recharge? – The mountains.
What made you want to work at Gorilla Logic? – My friends at Gorilla Logic told me about how cool it is to work here.
Now that you have greater insight on the world (maybe;)), what would you go back and tell your 18-year-old self? – To enjoy all the energy we can have at that age, exercise more and eat better.
What motivated you to pursue working in your current field? – I love to learn new things, working in technologies demands you stay up-to-date with new trends. In QA you get to know almost all the fields of new technologies.
What qualities make someone successful in the tech world? – Pro-activity, fast learning, listen to others opinion and advises, willing to learn new things.
