Much like a pod of whales or a pack of wolves, did you know that a group of gorillas is called a band? In this blog series, we’re going to introduce you to members of our band – engineers, technical recruiters, PMs, designers, and more who make up the most important asset in Gorilla Logic…our talent! Are you Gorilla material? Join the band today!
Jeff McCloud
Jeff McCloud is one of Gorilla Logic’s talented Software Engineers. He has been a professional software developer since 1995 and programming since he was 10 years on his Commodore 64. Jeff is somewhat of a Microsoft evangelist, working primarily with .NET and its ecosystem since 2000. In the past 5 years, Jeff has been working with Linux, Node.js and all things JavaScript/Front-End. His current passion is full stack development using React/Redux/GraphQL/Node and modern JavaScript (ES6/7 ala Babel and to a lesser degree TypeScript). In 2004, Jeff stumbled into the niche of working with GIS/Geospatial technologies as well (ArcGis, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, OpenLayers, Leaflet, Google and Bing Maps APIs, etc) and has worked on many projects that bring all those things together. Jeff has been working remotely from his home office in Hawaii since 2005. His hobbies include paragliding, hiking, swimming, having a blast with his 9-year old daughter, and chasing the fast moving target that is modern software development.
