Gorilla Logic Elevates its Agile Expertise by Partnering with Scaled Agile, Inc.
Our Gorillas know that successful Agile software development is based on building incrementally with fast, integrated learning cycles i.e., Plan – Do – Check – Adjust. This pattern allows us to better align and manage development cycles to provide clients with a more efficient, transparent process. As our client projects have grown in scale and complexity, we’ve continued to up our Agile game by partnering with Scaled Agile, Inc. Gorilla Logic recently provided the certification training for Leading SAFe® to our Product Owners and Scrum Masters – demonstrating our expertise in the framework and our commitment to training future change agents.
The Agile mindset of developing software has been embraced by the tech industry since the early 2000s with the signing of the Agile Manifesto for Software Development. Agile incorporates early and frequent feedback. It also focuses on achieving specific goals in sprints i.e., short iterations of one to four weeks. This allows our Gorillas to produce working software that people can test and adjust to changing requirements. Although standard Agile frameworks work well for smaller projects; managing multiple teams during large-scale software development requires a different approach.
In the last several years, as companies looked to scale their Agile practices, they’ve turned to Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®). SAFe promotes agility through continuous focus on core Lean and Agile values: alignment, built-in quality, transparency, and program execution.
“Many of our client projects require multiple Agile teams; however, managing those resources is not an easy task,” says Gorilla Logic CTO Jay Wallingford. “Becoming certified in SAFe separates us from many other nearshore software developers. Not only can we seamlessly integrate our Agile Gorillas with our clients’ in-house Agile resources, but we are also accredited to train teams in SAFe best practices.”
Gorilla Logic employs three Certified SAFe® Program Consultants (SPCs) who will partner with our customers in their Lean Agile Transformation. An additional 12 Gorillas are Leading SAFe certified with more to come.
“Obtaining certifications in SAFe can be an expensive, challenging process – most nearshore outsourcing companies won’t make that commitment,” Jay notes. “However, our Gorillas thrive on challenges. Being certified in SAFe allows us to offer Agile transformation to our clients while optimizing multiple resources to deliver the best possible software.”
