Cover band guitar player | Entrepreneurial technologist | Web Practice Lead
As a full-stack developer, Roy brings more than 10 years of experience as a technical lead across industries and large-scale projects, working closely with stakeholders to understand and translate business and technical needs for developer teams. From the back end to the front-end, from Java and Apache Flex to JQuery, Ember, Angular, and React, he thrives on learning new skills and languages and discovering the best framework for each project. Roy channels his drive for challenge into entrepreneurial ventures, and was attracted to Gorilla Logic’s culture of technical excellence as well as its industry-leading clients.
In his role as Web Practice Lead, Roy collaborates with his peers to build a community of passionate full-stack developers, learning as much from teaching and mentoring others as he does on his own. Whether he’s developing training, researching emerging technologies, or introducing new tools and resources, Roy seeks to inspire others with his own drive for continuous self-improvement and learning.
Most mornings, Roy works out with weights at the gym, and he loves to surf when his schedule allows. After business hours, Roy plays guitar in a cover band that specializes in rock from the 1980’s and 1990’s, with a heavy rotation of Jimi Hendrix, AC/DC, Pink Floyd, and Bob Marley. When he’s at home, he likes to watch anime, especially Dragon Ball.
