Alejandro Castellón

Gaming enthusiast | Community builder | QA Practice Lead

Although Alejandro started his career as a Java developer, an early experience opened his eyes to how quality assurance provides the ideal mix of working with technology and automation and collaborating closely with a variety of people in a broad range of roles. He never looked back, and after several years in progressively senior QA roles, Alejandro came to Gorilla Logic as a Senior Consultant-Software Development Testing, focused on QA engineering and QA automation.

Now as QA Practice Lead, Alejandro combines his deep love for learning, mentoring, and coaching. Believing that you learn by teaching others, Alejandro is focused on building a vibrant community of QA experts energized by learning. Together with his fellow QA Practice Leads, Alejandro is developing a QA knowledge base that everyone at the company can access. He is also helping to introduce a QA guild, a cross-functional community from across the practices to further QA best practices internally.

At home, Alejandro lives with his cat, Vito Corleone, and his dog, Lucy. He loves to play soccer, dance salsa, merengue, and the bolero, and play video games. He ranks Spider Man and God of War: Ragnarok among his favorites. Attending French-speaking schools growing up, Alejandro now speaks Spanish, English, and French. He also likes to travel, and counts multiple trips to Colombia and other countries on his list.
